SACHEM'S MESSAGE - Jul 17, 2010

Sachem’s Message

It’s hard to believe the first half of the year as your sachem is over. It’s been exciting and rewarding. Many officers and members of our Tribe 84 attended the 175th Great Council of Maryland Convention in Ocean City. It was very enlightening. If given the chance to attend next year, I highly recommend it. Congratulations to Brian Sprankle for being elected a state officer – Great Junior Sagamore at this year’s convention.

We are not out of the woods yet with our sluggish economy. I know it’s hard to sit inside the club when it’s nice outside. That’s why the Pavilion will be open and Buck Nites are planned. Check for dates and bring the family and friends out to have some fun and support your club. Visit our website at www.redmentribe84.com

Yours in Patriotism, Friendship, and Charity

House Committee Message - Jun 11, 2010

There are many exciting things happening at your Red Men club. Currently, you will be enjoying the new dinner and breakfast menus that we feel will add a very good variety of food and economical prices. Many prices have been reduced which will add additional value to your enjoyment.

Shortly, we will be introducing Keno with Horseracing in the bar and dining room areas. We have had many requests for a variety of gambling --- this will certainly add to your satisfaction.

Our pavilion will be open for the summer evenings two times a week and there are “Buck Nites” scheduled in the pavilion.

As always, none of our many activities would be possible without the help of our many volunteers. We certainly appreciate their help and offer an opportunity to any of our members to help at our functions. See Calvin, Tom or any of the House Committee members to offer your help.

We all encourage you visiting your club and enjoying the many activities we offer. Remember – you are invited to join any of our internal clubs. Each has their own personality and schedule. They are: Golf, Rider’s, Shuffleboard, Horseshoes, Dart, and Nascar.

For the House Committee,

Tom Burke

Chairman

Greetings from Pocahontas - Jun 11, 2010

Greetings from your Pocahontas

I would like to invite all Pocahontas members to attend our meetings. They are held the second and forth Thursdays of the month at 7:30 p.m. You could win an application for membership (for a friend), meet new friends and become active in our organization. We donate to many worthwhile causes. We welcome new ideas. Just a reminder that dues are due in June and they are $30. Dues can be paid at the front desk or at our meetings – make checks payable to Red Feather Council #59. To join the Pocahontas you have to be sponsored by a member in good standing. Come join the fun and friendship. Learn about what Red Feather Council #59 is all about. Members –we need you to be active members, not just social members, to keep Red Feather Council #59 strong.

Yours in Freedom, Friendship, and Charity,

Jo Ellen Swartz
